Senior Panther finished second on the team in scoring her final season

MILWAUKEE, Wis. (April 11, 2008) - Senior Aubri Rote of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee women's basketball team has been named to the Academic All-Horizon League Team, the league office announced this week.

Rote is the first Panther to earn selection to the five-member team since Kimberly Becker in 2005. She is also one of 16 student-athletes at Milwaukee to land on their respective academic teams, the most in the Horizon League.

Rote finished second on the team in scoring this season at 9.1 points per game and hit a team-high 54 three-pointers. She was also second on the team with 58 assists and third with 3.8 rebounds per game.

In the classroom, Rote carries a 3.925 grade point average as a kinesiology major. She has been the recipient of the team's Scholastic Award, given to the player with the highest GPA on the team.
