The bracket is set for the 2002-03 Horizon League women's basketball tournament and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, the No. 3 seed, will play its quarterfinal game at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, versus No. 6 seed Cleveland State University. The Panthers, who finished tied for second-place with the University of Illinois-Chicago in the regular season, will enter the tournament 15-12 overall, including a 11-5 league mark. CSU finished its regular season 10-17.

The tournament will kick-off on Wednesday (Mar. 5) when No. 8 seed Youngstown State University and No. 9 seed Butler University will play in the 7:00 p.m. "play-in" game. On Thursday, No. 7 Detroit and No. 2 UIC will play at 12:30 p.m., followed by the UWM-Cleveland State contest. Thursday's evening session will start with No. 1 seed and host team UW-Green Bay playing the winner of the YSU/Butler play-in game at 6 p.m. The quarterfinals will conclude with No. 4 Wright State University facing No. 5 Loyola University at 8 p.m.

The tournament semifinals are scheduled for Friday (Mar. 7) with the first game starting at 5:00 p.m. with the second game beginning at 7:30 p.m. The tournament championship is set for Sunday (Mar. 9) for 2 p.m. The winner of the Horizon League Tournament receives the league's automatic berth into the 2003 Women's NCAA Basketball Tournament. All games will be played at the Phoenix Sports Center on the UW-Green Bay campus. Tickets can be purchased by calling the UWM ticket office at 414-229-5886.
