Von Wald Named Player of the Week

Sophomore guard averaged 20 points in two games last week

MILWAUKEE – UWM sophomore guard Corrin Von Wald (Hudson, Wis.-Hudson) has been named MCC Player of the Week, the conference office announced today.

Von Wald led connected on 18-of-18 free throws in a double overtime loss against Valparaiso last week, the second best single-game effort in NCAA history. She scored 22 points in the game. She followed that up with 18 points and six rebounds in a win against UW-Green Bay.

The Panthers play at Chicago State on Tuesday and play host to Loyola on Saturday at the Klotsche Center. Tipoff for the Loyola game is 2:00 p.m.
