-Today was the first-ever meeting between the two schools in the all-time series.

-UWM is now 5-13 in openers since its first season in Division I (1990-91), playing 11 schools from the `BCS' conferences. It is 4-10 in such contests under Sandy Botham.

-Freshman Amanda Viehauser became the first freshman to start a season-opener since Aubrey Hampton in 2003.

-The Wolfpack improved to 31-4 all-time in season openers and 20-1 in season openers at home. They won their opener by 30+ points for the fourth consecutive season and have now won 36 of their last 37 home games against non-conference opponents.
