UWM Head Coach Sandy Botham

On advancing on to the NCAA Tournament with the league title
"It feels great. We've always been one of the top teams in the league, but we've always faltered. There's a lot of pressure in these games, but haven't been able to handle it. This is what you work for. We set goals and our first was to win the regular season. Our second was to win the tournament and get to the NCAA Tournament. It was great to be at home for this as the number one seed. We held court and were able to do it in front of our home crowd and in this city."

On UIC starting to come back late
"When a team like UIC starts to come back you're holding your breath. We weren't executing well and they do a great job in transition. We started to lose our poise, but we were able to gain it back and that's important."

On advancing on to the NCAA Tournament with the league title
"Of all the teams we played against where we competed, we went up against strong teams and were keeping with them. With our non-conference scheduled, we've competed with, I'd like to see us get a higher seed. It would be a real stepping stone for this team."

Senior Molly O'Brien

On going to the NCAA Tournament
"I'm in shock still and can't really believe it. Having teammates like Traci makes it so much easier the way she is able to play out there."

Freshman Traci Edwards

On her play today
"I didn't play to my potential yesterday, so I wanted to come out strong today."
