Nygren Repeats As Academic All-LeagueMILWAUKEE, Wis. (Dec. 15, 2005) - Senior Josh Nygren of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's cross country team has been named to the Academic All-Horizon League Team, the league office announced today. It marks the second-straight year Nygren has represented the Panthers on the league's academic team. Nygren was Milwaukee's top finisher at each meet he competed this season, but one. The Marinette, Wis., native earned all-league honors for the third-straight season, taking sixth at the Horizon League Championship. He earned a spot on the first team for the second-straight year. Nygren then placed 59th at the NCAA Regional, the ninth-best regional finish in team history. He kicked off his season with a first-place showing at the UIC Home Opener, setting a course record in the process. A political science major, Nygren boasts a 3.918 grade point average.
