Nygren Leads Panthers At Pre-National InviteOct. 15, 2005
TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - Senior Josh Nygren finished 71st to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's cross country team to a 27th-place finish Saturday afternoon at the NCAA Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Ind. Nygren ran a time of 24:56 to lead Milwaukee and senior Nate Weiland was the second Panther across the line in 13oth place with a time of 25:29. Junior Ben Uphoff and sophomore Nick Hawley finished just two seconds apart, with Uphoff taking 139th in 25:34 and Hawley finishing 147th in 25:36. Junior Justin Gorman completed UWM scoring runners, with a time of 26:29 and 203rd-place finish. Sophomore RJ Pire also ran, taking 217th in 26:59. The NCAA Pre-National Invitational was Milwaukee's final warm-up for the Horizon League Championships, hosted by Wright State, Oct. 29.
