Lettered twice in both track and cross country at Madison LaFollette High School ... was named LaFollette's Athlete of the Month ... also earned awards as a scholar-athlete for both cross country and track and was named academic all-state in cross country ... in track, won the team's distance award ... also played golf, soccer and basketball at some point during high school.
