Panthers Win Fifth-Straight Horizon League Outdoor Championship5/9/2008 - Sophomore Tyler Bucholz won the 100m and 200m and sophomore Isaiah Adams set a school record in winning the 400m on Friday to lead the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team to a fifth-straight Horizon League Outdoor Championship at Youngstown State. The Panthers scored 183 points in completing a fifth-straight indoor/outdoor title sweep. The host Penguins were 14 points back in second place with 169, while UIC was a distance third with 74. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team scored 26 points on the first day of the 2008 Horizon League Championships Thursday to sit fourth in the team standings with one day to go. The meet continues Friday, with the Panthers looking to make a second-day charge for a fifth-straight league outdoor championship. Milwaukee qualified four athletes atop their events in preliminaries Thursday, including seven total finals qualifiers in the 100m-400m events. The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team aims for its fifth-straight Horizon League outdoor championship this week, when it heads to Youngstown, Ohio, for the 2008 installment of the league outdoor meet, hosted by Youngstown State Thursday and Friday. Milwaukee is among the nation's leaders in both consecutive outdoor championships and consecutive league titles overall. The Panthers have won the last four league outdoor titles, tying Wisconsin (Big Ten) and Southern Utah (Summit League) for the fourth-longest active streak.
