MADISON, Wis. (Jan. 26, 2008) - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team had 12 top-five finishes, including second-place showings from sophomores Quinn Mongoven and Tyler Bucholz, in action at the Wisconsin Elite Invitational Saturday afternoon at The Shell.

The meet was non-scoring.

Mongoven cleared a personal-best 6-10 ¼ in the high jump to finish as runner-up based on number of jumps. He was already third in event in school history, but inched closer to the school record of 6-11 ½. Ehi Oamen from Northern Iowa also cleared 6-10 ¼ in taking top honors.

Bucholz tied the fourth-fastest 400m time in school history in finishing as runner-up in that event. His time of 48.69 was a PR and tied Elliot Enright on the school's top-10 list. Bucholz also contributed to the Panthers' third-place 4x400m relay. He teamed with junior Patrick Casey, sophomore Isaiah Adams and freshman Jared Foerch for a time of 3:20.99.

Junior Adam Schleis competed in both the long jump and 60m hurdles events. In the long jump, he leapt a personal-best 23-0 in taking third in the event. The leap tied him for fourth in school history. In the hurdles, he took fifth in the prelims before running a time of 8.19 in the finals, also for third place.

Senior Larry Ehrhorn also posted a pair of top-five showings, taking third in the weight throw and fourth in the shot put. In the weight throw, he tossed 55-5 ½, while his best shot put was 50-0 ¾.

Milwaukee got two top-five finishers in the triple jump in senior Darren Cole and sophomore Josh Zill. Cole was third in the event, leaping 46-11, while Zill finished fifth with a jump of 45-2 ½.

Rounding out UWM's top-five finishers was senior Justin Bohler in the heptathlon, senior Lynn Koepke in the 60m and Casey in the 600m. Bohler finished fourth in the multi-event with a score of 4,667 points. Koepke tied the seventh-fastest 60m time in school history in taking fifth and Casey was fifth in the 600m in 1:23.00.
