KENOSHA, Wis. (Jan. 12, 2008) - Senior Larry Ehrhorn won two events and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's track and field team combined on six more event wins as the Panthers topped the field at the Division I Invitational Saturday afternoon.

Milwaukee scored 154 points to pace the eight-team field. Host Carthage College finished second with 137, while Chicago State, the only other Division I team at the meet, took third with 67. Coe College was the only other four-year school competing, taking fourth with 61.

Ehrhorn, the team's only returning thrower, won both the weight throw and shot put. His weight throw traveled 56-4 ¾ for top honors. In the shot put, he won with a toss of 49-11 ¼.

The Panthers swept the relay events, winning the 4x200m in record fashion and taking the top two places in the 4x400m relay. Senior Lynn Koepke, junior Patrick Casey, sophomore Tyler Bucholz and freshman Jared Foerch combined on a school-record 4x200m time of 1:29.86. The previous mark was 1:31.21 set last season at this same meet. Bucholz and Koepke were on that relay, as well.

In the 4x400m, Casey, junior Josh Zill and sophomores Isaiah Adams and Matt Dreifke were the victorious relay with a time of 3:29.56. Bucholz, Foerch, senior Justin Bohler and freshman Ben Borton made up the second-place relay with a time of 3:31.49.

Bucholz and Koepke were each individual winners, with Bucholz taking first in the 400m and Koepke in the 200m. Bucholz finished his event in 51.54, less than a second ahead of Foerch in second with a time of 52.47. Koepke crossed the line in 22.66 in winning the 200m.

Junior Adam Schleis won both the preliminaries and finals of the 55m hurdles, posting a time of 7.70 in the prelims. That time is a personal best and ties him for fourth in school history in the event with Ron Russ' best time from 1995. Bohler was second in the event with a finals time of 7.89, just off Schleis' finals time of 7.82.

Sophomore Quinn Mongoven rounded out the Panther winners, as he topped the high jump. He cleared 6-6 ¾ in the winning effort.

Milwaukee returns to action next weekend at the Jack Johnson Invitational. Hosted by the University of Minnesota, the meet is next Saturday (Jan. 19).
