MILWAUKEE - Josh Baseheart was named Horizon League Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Nov. 10 after collecting seven wins in seven events over the weekend, the league office announced today.

Baseheart won the 50, 100 and 200 freestyles on Saturday in Chicago against UIC and Evansville, setting league-leading marks in the 100 and 200 freestyles to add to the league-best mark he set last weekend in the 50 free. He also anchored the winning 200 freestyle relay team that captured victory in Chicago. Baseheart followed that up with another three wins on Sunday in Milwaukee against Western Kentucky, winning the 50 and 100 freestyles and anchoring the 400 freestyle relay team that just edged out WKU's team at the wall.

Baseheart is the first Panther to win the award this season, and was the last Panther to do so a year ago, winning it after his strong performance at the Wheaton Invitational that saw him set a new school and meet record in the 100 freestyle.

The Wheaton Invitaitonal, coincidentally, is the next meet for the UWM men's swimming and diving team. The meet will be held on Dec. 6 and 7 at Wheaton College in Wheaton, Ill.
