MILWAUKEE - A little home-cooking was all the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's swimming and diving team to post their first win of the season, a 127-91 victory over Wheaton. In their first home meet of the season, coach Dave Clark's Panthers breezed past Wheaton, led by the strength of 10 first-place finishes, including 10 of the first 11 events.

Josh Baseheart, Michael Belting, Peter Clark and Jeff Jasinowski each picked up a pair of wins on the night. Baseheart had the headline win, setting a new Klotsche Center Pool record of 46.23 in the 100 freestyle, besting the old mark of 46.79, set by David Tucker of Western Kentucky in 2000. Baseheart also won the 50 freestyle, posting a time of 21.48. Belting won the 1000 and 500 freestyles, the 1000 with a time of 9:57.46 and the 500 in 4:50.36. Clark won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:45.89, and claimed a time of 1:59.67 in the 200 butterfly. Jasinowski, meanwhile, was unopposed in both diving events, but did manage to improve on his top marks of the season.
