NCAA Pairings Party Scheduled For Monday At 3 p.m.

Panthers await NCAA First Round opponent

Nov. 14, 2004

MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team will host an NCAA Pairings Party for players, coaches, fans, and media on Monday (Nov. 15) at the Gasthaus in the basement of the UWM Student Union. The Panthers earned the Horizon League's automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament with a 3-2victory over University of Detroit-Mercy on Sunday.

The Milwaukee players and coaches will gather at the Gasthaus to find out where and when its first round NCAA Tournament game will take place. The 2004 NCAA Selection Show, which will air live on ESPNEWS at 3:30 p.m., will unveil the 48 teams that have earned bids into the NCAA Tournament and where first-and-second round games will be played. The pairings party will begin at 3:00 p.m. with UWM head coach Louis Bennett and players available for interviews after the selection show.

This is the Panthers fourth-straight trip to the NCAA Tournament, having hosted first-round matches in each of the last two seasons. With its win over Detroit, UWM sits at 13-4-3 on the season and is led by Horizon League Player of the Year Antou Jallow and fellow all-league honorees Trent Furtsch and Dale Weiler.
