Wiedabach Named To Horizon League All-Newcomer Team

MILWAUKEE - Freshman Andrew Wiedabach of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team has been named to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team, announced today by the league office. The all-conference squads were named, as well as the specialty award winners. Wiedabach has started all 14 games he has appeared in this season and has taken a team-high 29 shots on the year. He scored one goal, coming in Milwaukee's 2-1 victory against Loyola Oct. 10. University of Wisconsin-Green Bay junior JC Banks has earned Horizon League Player and Offensive Player of the Year honors, while Butler University sophomore Matt Hedges has been awarded Defensive Player of the Year and teammate Julian Cardona has claimed Newcomer of the Year accolades. Butler's Kelly Findley takes home Coach of the Year honors and Valparaiso University junior Ryan Schwarz is the league's Goalkeeper of the Year.
