Horizon League Tournament Bracket SetNov. 1, 2004 MILWAUKEE - 2004 Horizon League Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket in PDF Format For the fourth consecutive season, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee will head to the postseason as the No.1 seed in the Horizon League men's soccer tournament. The Panthers, who have hosted the last three league tournaments, claimed a share of the 2004 regular season title with Butler while posting a 10-4-3 overall record and 6-1 league mark. The league tournament begins with quarterfinal games on Saturday (Nov. 6) with the semifinals and finals set for Friday (Nov. 12) and Sunday (Nov. 14) at the highest remaining seed. Milwaukee will open the quarterfinal round with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff versus No. 8 seed Cleveland State. The Panthers and Vikings met each other in Sunday's regular season finale with UWM claiming a 1-0 overtime victory. In addition to the UWM-CSU game on Saturday No. 4 Wright State will host No. 5 UIC at 6:00 p.m., No. 3 Detroit will host No. 6 UW-Green Bay at noon, while No. 2 Butler hosts No. 7 Loyola at 6:00 p.m.The four quarterfinal winners will advance to the highest remaining seed for the final three games. Should UWM defeat Cleveland State on Saturday it will host the league final four for the fourth straight season. Milwaukee has won three consecutive quarterfinal games dating back to the 2000 season while claiming tournament titles in each of the last two years. Thanks to a perfect 4-0 record last season, UWM is now 11-1 all-time in the postseason at Engelmann Field.
