Oct. 25, 2000 MILWAUKEE-The UWM men's soccer team got off to a poor start on Saturday afternoon, allowing Saint Mary's to score two first half goals and take the game, 2-1, in Moraga, California. The Panthers provided a spirited second half, outshooting the Gaels, 20-6, but fell short in their valiant comeback as they return home with a 9-8 record on the season. Sophomore forward Derek Kasten (Greendale, Wis./Whitnall) scored for UWM off a corner kick sent in by senior defender Scott Dombrowski (West Allis, Wis./Hale). MCC STANDINGS--UWM currently stands at fourth in the conference standings heading into the last week of the regular season.
