Getting To Know: Chris DadaianApril 13, 2006 New UWM assistant soccer coach Chris Dadaian took some time recently to respond to a question-and-answer session. Here are his responses: How has your transition to UW-Milwaukee been going? "The transition has been fantastic for me. I wake up everyday and realize that my job entails working with a great program, athletic department and university. I really can't think of a better situation for me." What does coming to a Top-25 program mean to you? "It's really exciting to return to UWM, this time as a coach. I have always been close to the program, university and community. It feels like I never left. The team has the same desire and commitment that was present when I played here, so it's extremely important to keep that going without missing a beat." What are your goals before the 2006 season starts? "My goals for the season include continuing the traditions and success of the program, winning the league, making the NCAA tournament and, ultimately, winning a national championship. That would be a great first season." What do you see as the biggest challenges for the Panthers this upcoming season "Obviously, the change in the coaching staff is going to be a challenge for the players because they will need to adjust the chemistry of the coaching staff. However, I feel the biggest challenge is peaking at the most crucial points of the season, most notably in the NCAA tournament." What are the strenghths that you bring to the program? "I bring an enthusiasm to the program that I feel is contagious. In addition, I have a thorough knowledge about the goalkeeping position. Most importantly, I have been through the program and I understand the challenges, hard work, sacrifices and balance it takes to be successful." What does UWM soccer mean to you? UWM soccer means exciting, fast-paced and free flowing soccer. UWM soccer has been, and will continue to be, a huge part of my life. It truly embodies a black and gold lifestyle for me."
