Dombrowski Signs With USL's Rochester Raging Rhinos

Becomes latest Dombrowski brother to play professionally

April 11, 2006

MILWAUKEE - Neil Dombrowski, formerly of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer team, has been offered a professional contract by the Rochester Raging Rhinos, a USL First Division Team.

Dombrowksi was one of about 10 non-roster players invited to camp with the Rhinos last month. He spent two weeks in Cary, N.C., training with the team before being offered a contract at the end of last week.

"Coach [Laurie] Callaway really liked what he saw in Neil in training camp," Milwaukee head coach Jon Coleman said. "Neil has proven to be a strong, charismatic, determined-type of player that is deserving of this kind of opportunity."

Dombrowski concluded a stellar four-year career with the Panthers this past fall, leading UWM to the second round of the NCAA Tournament for the fourth-straight season. He led the team in goals and points and earned numerous postseason awards, including First Team All-Horizon League and Second Team Academic All-American honors.

The Rhinos continue camp in Rochester this week, as they prepare for the first game of the season against Miami FC on May 5.

"Neil will fit in well with the Rhinos and the way they play," Coleman said. "We are very proud of him ... the Dombrowski soccer legacy will continue with him."
