Former UWM Soccer Players Continuing Professional CareersMarch 31, 2006 MILWAUKEE - Former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer players Chad Dombrowski, Tighe Dombrowski and Neil Dombrowski are back in the national soccer headlines this week, as the brothers are all making news in their professional soccer careers once again. First off, Chad (at UWM from 1999-2002) and his Milwaukee Wave teammates will look to try and secure the No. 2 seed in the MISL playoffs as the regular season winds down this weekend. In 27 games this year, Dombrowski has five goals and three assists from his defender position. Tighe (2000-03), who had a two-week tryout in early March with Sirius, a Swedish First Division team, will be heading back overseas after receiving a contract. He will leave April 10 for six months with the team. Lastly, Neil, who wrapped up an illustrious Panther career last fall, is currently in Cary, NC, training with the Rochester Raging Rhinos of the A-League under head coach Laurie Calloway. "This is a real good opportunity for Neil to play at the next level," UWM head coach Jon Coleman said. "Rochester is one of the top teams in the league and just finished a new 17,000-seat soccer-specific stadium. It will be a good experience for him."
