UWM Soccer Announces Youth Camp Dates

MILWAUKEE - University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's soccer head coach Jon Coleman has announced the dates and times for the upcoming camp season during the summer of 2008. The five camps are scheduled for June and July, so save the dates today. Camp brochures will be available on the UWM website in the upcoming weeks.

UWM Panther Soccer Camps are designed to provide players with three to five days full of learning and fun. Coach Coleman and the rest of the camp staff will teach all aspects of the game. The focus will be on the techniques and skills of the game while promoting a stimulating learning environment. Camps will be held on the UWM campus at Engelmann Field (2033 E. Hartford Ave).

Campers should arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of each session and should be dressed and ready to start promptly. In the case of bad weather or wet conditions on the field, each session will watch soccer videos and/or receive instruction in Engelmann Gym. Campers must provide their own clothing each day, including both flat-soled and cleated shoes. Shin guards are mandatory. Drinking water will be provided and an athletic trainer will be on site at all times, however each camper is asked to bring his or her own water bottle to each session.
