MILWAUKEE-UWM freshman midfielder Tighe Dombrowski has been selected to the Adidas All-American Team after playing in the ODP's interregional event in San Antonio, Texas, in January 2001.

A member of the Olympic Development Program Region II team, Dombrowski competed with his team against other regional ODP teams which involved seventy-two of the nation's top 18 and 19 year old soccer players. He was one of five players selected from the Region II team to the all-american team, and is the only player from Wisconsin to be recognized.

After ODP regional teams compete, usually individual players are selected to make-up the ODP national team for that age group. However, since the US does not have a U-19 national team, Adidas names an All-American team that will be looked at the following year for U-20 national team selection.

Dombrowski started and played in 16 games for the Panthers, recording 27 shots and three goals on the season as a midfielder/defender. He was named to the MCC All-Newcomer team following his season performance.
