MILWAUKEE-The UWM men's soccer team ended the weekend with a disappointing 5-0 loss against Western Michigan on Sunday in Kalamazoo. After Friday's thrilling 1-0 overtime victory over Detroit, the Panthers return home with a split on the weekend and a 7-5 record overall.

Western Michigan started the scoring in the 10th minute with an unassisted goal by forward Reece Richardson. Down 1-0 at halftime, the Panthers outshot the Broncos 7-3 in the first half, and took a 3-0 advantage in corner kicks.

WMU came out in the second half with a goal in the 55th minute off a 40-yard shot. The Broncos continued their torrid pace with a rebounder from 8 yards out in the 63rd minute, and a header at the 74:56 minute mark to go up, 4-0. Three minutes later, both teams played short when UWM's Chad Dombrowski and WMU's Mark Stickler were sent off the field with red cards.

The Broncos capped off scoring when forward Rob Friend stole the ball from UWM's defense in the box, and finished far post past sophomore goalkeeper Chris Dadaian to finish, 5-0.

UWM still led in shots, 17-15, overall and ended ahead in corner kicks, 7-3. Junior forward Ryan Seymour led the Panthers' attack with eight shots, followed by sophomore Derek Kasten with four.
