Jake Provan returns for his second season as the Milwaukee men's soccer volunteer assistant coach.

Provan was a four-year letterwinner as a player at UWM (1992-95), earning first team all-conference honors and a spot on the All-Midwest team in 1995 and second team all-league honors in 1993. He led the team in points (26) and goals (11) as a senior and, at the time, held the distinction of scoring the fastest goal in program history, hitting the back of the net just 23 seconds into a game against Alabama A&M in the 1993 season.

Provan played professional soccer for the Milwaukee Rampage and Milwaukee Wave, while most recently serving as the kicker for the Continental Indoor Football League's (CIFL) Milwaukee Bonecrushers a year ago. He went into the team record books by scoring the first points in franchise history on a 22-yard field goal in the season opener.

Provan has over 10 years of coaching experience, including coaching the Milwaukee NPSL team that included Division I college players from UWM, Wisconsin, Yale, Drake, Marquette, Penn and Santa Clara. He presently coaches for the Bavarian Soccer Club, Brookfield Soccer Club and the Wisconsin Olympic Development program.

Provan possesses a US Soccer Federation "A" Coaching License and a Masters Degree in Education.
