UWM Men Set TV Package With Time Warner Sports

This season's schedule debuts Dec. 11 at Miami (Ohio)

Nov. 11, 2008

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Time Warner Sports have put together a 10-game package of live televised contests for the upcoming men's basketball season.

This will mark the second-straight year UWM games will appear on Time Warner Sports (Channel 32).

The package will debut Dec. 11 when the Panthers play at Miami (Ohio). Meanwhile, "The Rob Jeter Show" hits Time Warner Sports for the first time this season Nov. 19.

Daron Sutton, the voice of the Arizona Diamondbacks, returns for his fifth season as the television voice of the Panthers. He will again be joined on the broadcasts by assistant athletics director Jason Clark. UWM radio voice Bill Johnson again returns as host of the Jeter show.

Following the game in against the RedHawks in Oxford, TWS will air both of UWM's games in Chicago, with the contest against UIC set for Dec. 30 and the battle with Loyola on Jan. 3. Milwaukee then returns to Time Warner Sports during its road trip to Indiana, with games at Valparaiso (Jan. 22) and Butler (Jan. 24) on the docket.

In the month of February, TWS will carry five more UWM games. Road games at Green Bay (Feb. 7), Cleveland State (Feb. 12), Wright State (Feb. 26) and Detroit (Feb. 28) will all be televised, as will the Panthers' home date with Butler (Feb. 18)

UWM's additional television games include its crosstown battle with Marquette, which will also air live on Time Warner Sports but is not part of UWM's package of games. Plus, the Panthers' game with Green Bay Jan. 9 will air on ESPNU while the game Nov. 29 at Wisconsin will air on the Big Ten Network's website. UWM could also be on national television for its BracketBuster contest Feb. 21.

Meanwhile, ESPN Full Court has not yet announced the list of games it will pick up as part of its pay-per-view package, but UWM and Time Warner Sports have again offered the games in its package for broadcast nationally.

As for "The Rob Jeter Show," after it debuts next week at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m., the show returns for two dates in December (Dec. 10 and Dec. 17). The show then airs weekly throughout January and February. Initial air times will put the show on Wednesdays at 5 p.m. and 9 p.m. (or 10:30 p.m. if TWS is airing a live event).
