Full-Court Club Set To Host Pair Of Events
Oct. 22, 2008
MILWAUKEE - The Rob Jeter Full-Court Club will host a pair of events over the next few weeks in anticipation of the 2008-09 men's basketball season. First, there is an intrasquad scrimmage next Tuesday (Oct. 28) at the Klotsche Center. Then, Mon., Nov. 3, the club will host the annual Tipoff Luncheon at the Milwaukee Hilton City Center. The intrasquad scrimmage is free and open to Full-Court Club members as well as season and Five-Pack ticket-holders who have not yet joined the Full-Court Club. Plus, members of UWM's student Panther Pack have also been invited. Those planning to attend are also encouraged to bring potential Panther fans along to give them an up-close introduction to Milwaukee basketball. The scrimmage will begin at 5 p.m. at the Klotsche Center. Head coach Rob Jeter will also address the crowd after the scrimmage. Club members and ticket-holders planning to attend the scrimmage can RSVP to Deidre Merritt at deidrem@uwm.edu or 414-229-5158. Staff members will also be on hand to assist attendees in renewing or starting their Full-Court Club membership. Meanwhile, club members can attend the first luncheon of the year for just $20, with the event beginning at noon. Non-members can buy tickets for $30. The luncheon will feature a preview of the 2008-09 season from Coach Jeter as well as comments from director of athletics Bud Haidet. Those interested in attending the luncheon can make reservations by contacting Merritt at deidrem@uwm.edu or 414-229-5158 or by calling the UWM Ticket Office at 414-229-5886. People who want to become Full-Court Club members can do so for just $110. Club members are actively involved in a variety of aspects of the Panther basketball program, including fund-raising for a potential European Trip as well as for improvements at the U.S. Cellular Arena.
