Former University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee standouts Joah Tucker and Boo Davis got the chance to put their basketball abilities on display in a workout with the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday afternoon at the Cousins Center.

The two recently completed their senior seasons at UWM, having led the team to the Sweet 16 in 2005 and back to the second round of the NCAA Tournament this past season.

Nick George of Virginia Commonwealth and Tarence Kinsey of South Carolina also participated in the workout, which was observed by Bucks officials, including Director of Player Personnel Dave Babcock.

"The biggest thing I like about them is that they're both good basketball players. They make good plays; they're competitive," Babcock said of Davis and Tucker. "When they got in the two-on-two competitive drills they both were aggressive, they both made tough shots. You can see why they're a good team because their two best players are such competitive guys."

For Davis, who has been working out with teammate Adrian Tigert outside of Indianapolis as part of a group of professional hopefuls, this was a chance to make an impression.

"I'm just going to go to all of these camps and play with everything I've got," Davis said. "Hopefully my talent shows and the coaches see that."

Tucker, meanwhile, has been on the radar of a number of professional teams both in the NBA and overseas since his stellar play in the NCAA Tournament of 2005. This, though, was his first formal workout with an NBA team.

"It felt good. I got some shots up. I was in a familiar spot, but I felt good," Tucker said of his 75-minute chance with the Bucks. "I think I've been working out with some guys that have kind of prepared me for this. I felt like I was ready and did a good job."

Tucker, a two-time All-Horizon League selection, will get a further opportunity to put his talents on display at the NBA's Pre-Draft Camp, scheduled for next week in Orlando.
