Davis, Tucker Set For Pre-Draft Workout With Bucks

Seniors get chance at pre-draft session

May 30, 2006

MILWAUKEE - Boo Davis and Joah Tucker will participate in a pre-NBA Draft workout for the Milwaukee Bucks Wednesday afternoon. Each player recently completed his senior season at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

The two players started every game this past season in leading the Panthers to their third-straight Horizon League regular season title and into the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Tucker earned First-Team All-Horizon League honors for the second year in a row, leading the Panthers in scoring while reaching double figures in 29 of his 31 games. For his career, the Milwaukee native started 94-straight games, finishing eighth on the school's all-time scoring list (1,416) and sixth on the school's Division I rebounding list (513). Tucker was also the 2005 Horizon League Tournament Most Valuable Player before averaging 25.3 points per game in three NCAA contests, leading UWM into the Sweet 16. He followed that up this post-season by earning League All-Tournament honors before scoring 24 points in an NCAA Tournament First Round win over Oklahoma.

Davis earned Second Team All-Horizon League honors while finishing second on the team in scoring. Davis made 147 three-point shots in two seasons at UWM, starting 60 of his 63 games. He saved some of his best play for late in his senior season, pouring in a career-best 31 points against UIC Feb. 15. He also tallied a double-double of 20 points and 10 rebounds in the league tournament semifinals against Loyola and led the way with 26 points in an NCAA Tournament First Round win over Oklahoma. He also set a Kohl Center record with seven 3-point baskets against Wisconsin Dec. 15.

The workout is scheduled for the Cousins Center at 1 p.m. Media should contact the Milwaukee Bucks for policies and availabilities in conjunction with the workouts.
