Seniors Set To Take Part In Graduation Ceremonies

Large group assembles again at U.S. Cellular Arena

May 19, 2006

MILWAUKEE - A large group of University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee men's basketball seniors will take part in graduation ceremonies Sunday.

The undergraduate ceremonies begin at 1:30 p.m. at the U.S. Cellular Arena, the same place this year's class of seven seniors have played basketball for most of their careers at UWM.

Adrian Tigert completed his degree requirements a year ago and is working toward a masters degree in business, while Chris Hill completed his degree requirements earlier this year and will graduate with a double major in sociology and criminal justice. Joah Tucker (marketing), Mark Pancratz (marketing), Jason McCoy (sociology) and Boo Davis (educational studies) are also scheduled to graduate either this spring or during the summer and will take part in the ceremonies Sunday. The seventh senior in this year's class, Derrick Ford, is scheduled to graduate in December.

This senior class can also take credit for a great deal of success on the basketball court in its time at UWM. During the five seasons at least one member of this class has been at UWM, the Panthers have won three Horizon League regular season titles, three Horizon League Tournament titles and played in three NCAA Tournaments. The Panthers have won 108 games over the past five seasons, including three games in the NCAA Tournament.
