MILWAUKEE - A number of UWM basketball players were honored at the recent Student-Athlete Awards Reception.

Senior Chad Angeli was named the winner of the Dexter Riesch Memorial Scholar-Athlete Award. Angeli was also named the male Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year, and was recognized for being named to the MCC Academic All-Conference team.

Kalombo Kadima was presented with the Faculty Representative's Award for having the highest cumulative grade point average on the team, while Dan Weisse was recognized for being selected to attend the NCAA Foundation 2001 Leadership Conference.

Three players were also honored for being named to the 2000-01 MCC Academic Honor Roll, while five players were honored as scholar-athletes. A complete list appears below.
