Tucker Named Mid-Major All-American

Senior honored for stellar play

MILWAUKEE - Senior Joah Tucker of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee has been named a Mid-Major All-American by CollegeInsider.com.

The web site, which focuses heavily on non-BCS college basketball teams, selected a 20-person team from across the country. Tucker was the only player from the Horizon League to make the squad.

Tucker earned All-Horizon League First-Team honors for the second-straight season while also making the league's all-tournament team. He has scored in double figures in 28 of UWM's 29 games this season, including a current streak of 26-straight games. He is the Panthers' leading scorer while ranking second on the team in rebounding.

Tucker has also moved up UWM's career charts. He currently ranks ninth on the all-divisions all-time scoring list and is sixth on the Division I rebounding list. Plus, Tucker has started 92-straight games, a streak that includes his entire Milwaukee career.

The Milwaukee-native helped the Panthers to their third-straight Horizon League regular season title and to their second-straight league tournament title. UWM will playing in the NCAA Tournament for the second-straight season and for the third time in four years.
