MILWAUKEE - UWM's Clay Tucker has been named the Midwestern Collegiate Conference men's basketball player of the week.

Tucker led UWM to wins over Cleveland State and Detroit this past week. The win over Detroit knocked the Titans out of a share of the MCC regular season title.

Against CSU Thursday night, Tucker scored 22 points, all in the second half. Tucker added 14 more Saturday against Detroit.

For the week, Tucker converted on 8-of-9 three-point shots and 10-of-16 shots from the field overall.

The Panthers return to action Saturday at the MCC Tournament in Dayton, Ohio. UWM will face Wright State in the tournament's first game, which tips-off at 11 a.m. CST. The game will be televised on CBS-58 in Milwaukee.
