All-Tournament Team Adrian Tigert, Milwaukee (MVP) Joah Tucker, Milwaukee Boo Davis, Milwaukee Brandon Polk, Butler Ryan Evanochko, UWGB Milwaukee Notes - UWM has won its second-straight Horizon League Tournament championship and is advancing to the NCAA Tournament for the third time. - The Panthers are now 3-1 in Horizon League Championship Games at the U.S. Cellular Arena and have beaten Butler twice in the title game. - The 87 points scored by UWM marked the third-highest offensive output of the season. - The Panthers shot better than 50 percent from the field for the second-straight game. - UWM has now won six of its last eight games against Butler and has now beaten the Bulldogs six-straight times in Milwaukee. - Adrian Tigert tied the school record for career appearances by making his 118th appearance and 117th start. - Joah Tucker scored 15 points to move up to ninth on the all-time UWM scoring list. - UWM is now 9-8 all-time in the league tournament. - Milwaukee is now 36-6 in regular season and postseason games at the U.S. Cellular Arena. - The crowd of 10,021 marked the fourth-largest crowd in UWM's U.S. Cellular Arena history. - The Panthers had just nine turnovers, their lowest tally since Jan. 26 against Youngstown State. Butler Notes - Butler falls to 4-4 in league title games, losing its last two appearances to Milwaukee (2003). The Bulldogs are also 22-23 all-time in the league tourney. - Bruce Horan hit one 3-pointer to extend his streak of games with a three-pointer to 78-straight, second-longest in NCAA history.
- Horan finished with three points and is six away from becoming Butler's 30th member of the 1000-point club. - Milwaukee's 87 points are the most allowed by Butler this season. - Brandon Polk scored a game-high 27 points, third-most by a Butler player in team history. - Butler hit at least 10 three-pointers for the fifth-straight game. |
