UWM head coach Rob Jeter on the loss

"You can't win games if you are not going to the free throw line and you definitely can't win games if the other team is getting to the free throw line as regularly as they did. Obviously, turnovers and the fact that they shot as many free throws as they did and we didn't shoot as many, those are just facts. It has nothing to do with talking about officiating and it has nothing to do with pointing fingers, they are just facts. When they shoot that many free throws and we do not, the game is basically won there. We lose the game by what, eight, with that many less free throws compared to the other team? Again, it's not a knock on officials. It's about the pressure they put on the defensive end and attacking on the offensive end."

Jeter on the changes from the first half to the second half

"They were in the zone in the first half, and we put together a run. We were attacking, and then we started settling for a couple of shots, and then when those shots don't go in, that's what you get. That's what leads to fast-break opportunities. But, there were too many possessions at the end of that game where we would defend for 30 seconds and then, in the last five seconds, commit a foul. So now, they are scoring points, the clock is stopped and they are putting us at a disadvantage again."

Jeter on trying to close out a close game

"It just comes down to, if you are a good basketball team, you're going to get to the free throw line, you're not going to settle for shots, and you are going to take care of your possessions. We did not take care of our possessions down the stretch."
