The UWM baseball team departs Thursday morning for play in the NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. UWM is the fourth seed in the South Bend Regional, which begins Friday at Frank Eck Stadium in Notre Dame, Ind.

The Panthers (39-16) will play top-seeded Notre Dame in the tournament opener at 4 p.m. Second-seeded UC-Santa Barbara and third-seeded Florida International will play at approximately 7:30 p.m. The double elimination tournament continues through Sunday.

UWM is making its second NCAA Tournament appearance in three years. The Panthers won the Midwestern Collegiate Conference regular season and tournament championships, and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Notes and quotes from Thursday's press conferences, as well as a preview of Friday's game with Notre Dame, will be posted on-line Thursday night.
