MILWAUKEE - The UWM baseball team earned the No. 2 seed and will face UIC in the first round of the MCC Baseball Tournament, beginning Friday in Chicago.

The Panthers (26-26 overall, 11-7 MCC) face the host team and No. 5 seed UIC (15-28 overall, 6-12 MCC) on Friday at 3:00 p.m.

The double-elimination tournament concludes on Monday, with the winner receiving an automatic berth to the NCAA Regional Tournament
