MILWAUKEE - Quintin Oldenburg has been named the Horizon League Pitcher of the Week, the league office announced today.

Oldenburg set a school record by tossing 10 shutout innings as UWM collected a 1-0 win over Detroit on Saturday. The senior right-hander allowed just six hits and did not walk a batter while striking out nine. Oldenburg's nine strikeouts in the game gave him UWM's all-time career lead at 222, while the win was the 23rd of his career, another school record.

Oldenburg allowed only two batters to reach third base during the contest. Oldenburg now leads UWM with six wins, including four in league play, and has a 2.45 ERA in league contests.

The Panthers (25-14), in the midst of a school-record 10-game winning streak and in first place in the Horizon League, play a doubleheader at Iowa today. UWM then resumes play in the league Friday at Youngstown State.
