The UWM baseball team begins the final week of the regular season Tuesday afternoon, welcoming Eastern Illinois to Henry Aaron Field for a doubleheader. Then, after a doubleheader with Chicago State Wednesday, the Panthers will look to wrap up the outright MCC regular season championship during a four-game series with Butler over the weekend.

UWM (29-15, 13-3 MCC) took three-of-four from Wright State over the weekend, effectively eliminating the Raiders from title contention. UIC remains three games back of the Panthers in the league at 10-6, but the Flames would need to sweep Detroit and have UWM drop three-of-four to Butler to forge a tie for the title. The winner of the regular season championship receives the top seed in the conference tournament, which begins May 17 in Chicago.

The Panthers are also on the verge of a number of school records, including overall wins (33), MCC wins (14), runs (469), hits (648) and RBI (423).

Tuesday's doubleheader with Eastern Illinois (31-15) begins at 2 p.m. Wednesday's doubleheader at Chicago State also begins at 2 p.m. Friday's single game with Butler begins at 6 p.m., while Saturday's doubleheader and Sunday's single game begin at noon.
