MILWAUKEE - UWM's Dave Pudlosky has been named the Horizon League Baseball Player of the Week.

Pudlosky hit safely in all six games last week, compiling a .500 batting average and helping to spark the Panthers to a 5-1 record on the week. The junior's hot streak helped raise his batting average from .149 to .230 as he collected 10 hits in 20 at bats. Pudlosky went 4-for-4 with two runs scored and two RBI in UWM's sweep of Bradley at Miller Park Wednesday. Then, this weekend in Cleveland, Pudlosky collected six more hits and drove in five more runs.

Pudlosky also continues to be UWM's most patient hitter, adding three more walks to his team-high total, which now stands at 24 and calculates to a .398 on-base percentage. Pudlosky is also yet to make an error at either first base or in the outfield this season.

The Panthers (18-14) return to action later today with a single game at Northwestern. The next scheduled home contest is a doubleheader with UW-Parkside on Thursday.
