Goerdt's .462 Batting Average Ranks 6th in NCAA

Panthers' team batting average of .340 ranks 8th

MILWAUKEE - Junior first baseman Eric Goerdt (Cherry, Minn./Cherry/Madison Area Technical) and the Panthers both appear in this week's NCAA statistical leaders.

Goerdt is batting .462 this year, good for sixth in the nation. He was named MCC Player of the Week on Monday after batting .700 in five games last week.

The team's .340 batting average ranks eighth, down from fourth on the list last week.

The Panthers are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Chicago State for a 3 p.m. game.
