MILWAUKEE - Senior pitcher/designated hitter Chad Sadowski (Cudahy, Wis./Cudahy) became UWM's all-time RBI leader when he drove in four runs against Northwestern on Tuesday.

Already the school's career leader in pitching victories with 18, Sadowski hit a two-run home run in the first inning against Northwestern and added a two-run single in the seventh to give him 141 career RBIs. Jeff Stoss (1995-98) was the previous record holder with 138.

Sadowski needs just three hits to break the school record of 178 career hits, held by Jak Kraus (1992-96).

Sadowski is batting .378 this season and has helped the Panther offense to a team batting average of .344. That figure ranks fourth nationally, according to statistics released by the NCAA on Wednesday. Rutgers leads the nation with a .354 team batting average.

The Panthers, who had an eight-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday at Northwestern, will play host to Wright State for four MCC games this weekend. The teams play a single game on Friday at 5 p.m. A doubleheader begins Saturday at noon and a single game on Sunday begins at noon. All four games will be played at Henry Aaron Field at Lincoln Park.
