Milwaukee will now play Valparaiso Thursday and Friday

March 24, 2009

MILWAUKEE - For the second time this week, the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team has had the 2009 schedule changed because of the weather. The Panthers were originally scheduled to play Valparaiso University in a three-game series this Friday and Saturday. Those games have now been pushed up to Thursday and Friday due to the threat of inclement weather over the weekend.

Head coach Scott Doffek announced this afternoon that Milwaukee will now open Horizon League play with one game Thursday and then play a doubleheader Friday. Game times are scheduled for 3 p.m. for the single game Thursday and a noon start for the twinbill Friday at Emory G. Bauer Field.

The weather forecast for the Valparaiso area calls for rain and snow this weekend, beginning late Friday and into Saturday.
