Weekend Update For Baseball Trip To Play UIC

Games Saturday now scheduled for 2 p.m. start

March 21, 2008

MILWAUKEE - The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee baseball team will have its regularly-scheduled doubleheader Saturday against UIC pushed back two hours due to the weather conditions in Chicago.

The Panthers and Flames have already had today's game postponed and will now have a two-hour delay in Saturday's start, which was announced by UWM head coach Scott Doffek this afternoon.

According to the Flames' website, UIC athletic administrators and head coach Mike Dee will gather early Saturday morning and determine by 9 a.m. whether the doubleheader can still be played that day.

Depending on the weather, the doubleheader start time of 2 p.m. could be pushed back. There is a chance for snow on Saturday morning, but the forecast for most of the day calls for sun and no precipitation.

Continue to check back on the UWM website for further updates.

SATURDAY UPDATE AT 11:30 AM: The decision has been made this morning that Milwaukee and UIC will now play one game Saturday at 6 p.m. and a doubleheader Sunday, with game one starting at noon.
