CHICAGO - Derek Daggett hit two home runs and Darin Haugom cracked a grand slam as UWM pounded out 19 hits in an 18-12 victory over Chicago State Wednesday afternoon.

Daggett's first home run, a three-run shot, highlighted a five-run second inning. Daggett also added a solo home run in the Panthers' four-run third inning. Haugom's grand slam came in a five-run sixth inning.

Daggett had three hits and reached base six times, while Haugom had two hits and reached base four times. Jason Crawford had three hits, and Scott Gillitzer, John VandenBerg, and Mike Oiler had two hits apiece. Dan Kardelis also hit the first home run of his collegiate career.

Dave Pudlosky (2-0) pitched the first five innings to record the win.

UWM (32-15) wraps up the regular season this weekend, hosting Butler in a four-game series. Game one Friday night begins at 6 p.m. The Panthers enter the final weekend of league play with a three-game advantage over UIC for the regular season conference championship.
