UWM Baseball Downs Valparaiso, 12-5
May 5, 1999 Milwaukee- Darrin Haugom hit a three-run home run and added to his school record with his 20th stolen base as UWM defeated Valparaiso, 12-5, at Henry Aaron Field on Wednesday. Steve Tylke went 3-5 with 3 RBIs and increased his batting average to .378 on the season. Five Panther pitchers combined for the win. Andy Neary and Jeff Rodgers each pitched three innings, and Kyle Raeder, Chad Sadowski and Matt Friesleben each pitched one inning. Neary (5-6) picked up the win. He allowed one earned run and four hits.
The game marked UWMs final non-conference game of the season. The Panthers wrap up MCC games with a four-game weekend series at UIC this weekend and play in the MCC tournament next weekend.
