Panther Baseball Splits Doubleheader with Cleveland State
May 2, 1999 MILWAUKEE -- The UWM baseball team split an MCC doubleheader with Cleveland State on Saturday at Henry Aaron Field. The Vikings won the opener in extra innings, 9-5, but the Panthers rallied for an 8-2 win in the nightcap. In the first game, Chad Sadowski hit his 14th home run of the season, but he allowed nine runs in 7.1 innings and picked up the loss. The Panthers took a 5-3 lead after Sadowski's home run in the fourth inning. The Vikings tied the game with a pair of runs in the fifth and then scored four in the eighth inning. In game two, Corey Clemmons pitched a complete game, allowing two runs, one walk while striking out five. Sadowski added another home run and his tied for the team lead and the school record with Todd Ludwig. Both have 15 homers on the season.
Ludwig went 2-4 with three RBIs in the game.
