Milwaukee- The UWM baseball team scored early and often in a doubleheader sweep of Concordia (WI) on Wednesday at Henry Aaron Field.

The Panthers scored five runs in the top of the first inning in game one en route to a 17-6 win. In game two, UWM scored 17 runs in the fifth and sixth inning to post a 26-7 win.

Panther hitters went deep on Concordia pitchers 13 times in the doubleheader. Chad Sadowski, Steve Johnson and J.J. Kotarak went deep three times each. Mike Oiler, Steve Tylke, Todd Ludwig and Paul Archambault added one home run a piece.

With 56 home runs this season, UWM has broken the school record, set a year ago, when the team hit 51 homers. Individually, Ludwig currently holds the school record with 14 four-baggers, but Sadowski is just off his pace, having hit 13 of his own.

The Panthers (20-22, 7-3 MCC) play host to league-rival Cleveland State on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The Vikings currently sit in third place in the MCC standings.
