Panther Baseball Plays Longball in Two Wins
April 17, 1999 MILWAUKEE- Chad Sadowski hit two home runs in game one and Todd Ludwig hit two home runs in the third inning of game two as the Panthers swept MCC-leading Butler, 7-4 and 11-7. In game one, Sadowski, who also pitched, struck out 11 batters and walked only one Butler batter in a complete game win. At the plate, he went 3-3 with the two home runs and and four RBIs. Mike Oiler and Darrin Haugom added solo home runs in the game. In game two, UWM scored eight runs in the third inning, taking a 10-3 lead. Ludwig hit his ninth home run to lead off the inning and his tenth later in the inning. He finished 3-4 at the plate with three RBIs. Paul Archambault went 3-4 with a pair of RBIs and is now batting a team-best .391. Andy Neary pitched 7 inning, allowing six earned runs and striking out six. UWM (14-19) plays host to Butler (16-21) for a doubvleheader on Sunday.
