DETROIT, Mich. - Quintin Oldenburg tossed a complete game and UWM scored in all but two innings en route to a 12-2 victory over Detroit in game two of a doubleheader Saturday afternoon.

The Panthers (11-8, 2-0 MCC) won game one, 6-4.

In the nightcap, UWM jumped on Titan starter David Wampler for six runs in five innings. Scott Gillitzer went 3-for-4, driving in three runs, while John VandenBerg had two hits and two RBI. Steve Guden and Todd Grafenauer homered for the Panthers.

Oldenburg (3-2) allowed just two runs and six hits in pitching his first complete game of the season.

In the first game, the Panthers built a 4-0 advantage then hung on. VandenBerg cracked his fifth home run of the season, while Matt Houk had three hits and an RBI.

Eric Goerdt (2-0) worked the first 5 2/3 innings to claim the win, while Jason Crawford worked the bottom of the seventh for his first save of the season.

The Panthers and Titans wrap up their four-game series Sunday with two more games. Aaron Bushong and Rob Erickson are expected to start the two games on the mound for UWM.
