Steve Sanfilippo begins his first season as an assistant coach for the Milwaukee baseball team. He will serve as the first base coach and will also work with defensive alignment. His duties will also include recruiting and fundraising. Sanfilippo was a three-year letterwinner on the baseball diamond for the Panthers (2003-05), earning league all-newcomer team honors in 2003. He spent the past three seasons as the hitting and infield coach at MSOE in Milwaukee and started his coaching experience at the Ripken Baseball Academy in Aberdeen, Md. While there, Sanfilippo gained baseball knowledge working beside MLB Hall of Famer Cal Ripken, his brother Bill and many other former major leaguers. |
